Fabulous Fifth Avenue Shopping, Social Reflection at Ground Zero and the United Nations, and Dinner in Chinatown

I believe that not everyone is so lucky, when you're on a trip in New York, you won't meet the rainy day in NYC. Rain made the city really different, busy street, busy New Yorkers walk across streets and streets, this is the modern city's quick life. Fifth Ave, the world's most expensive shops are here, whatever luxury you want, its here! Pretty shops, fashion designs, all the wonderful things in the world are here in front of you. Just walk on the street and feel the fashionable air around you! That's enough, no matter what you buy, no matter which shop you go in, its just nice to be here. I love it, I enjoy every minute here. Luckily, we get to take a subway in NYC. Its pretty old I think, compared with new Shanghai's subway. Its really historical, one of the world's oldest subway I believe. This is an international city, people from all over the world are here. This small subway space refers to the normal New Yorkers' life. We went to UN, I learned a lot. Its something not to share, but to experience by yourself, so come to the UN and have fun learning! Here we go...Chinatown! As a Chinese, I'm really excited about it, the familiar Chinese words, I smell my home! Chinese food is like the best in the world for me. Chinatown is a real little China. I love China, I love U.S.A., I LOVE NEW YORK!

Today was a rainy day, but neither the rain was able to hide how unique NYC is. New York is able to make you excited just walking on its streets. The feelings when you're there in the middle of the skyscraper, traffic, people from all over, taxi, walking with a cup of coffee, just looking around, or doing shopping is wonderful! We went to the Central Station, we walked around really old fashion stairs, clocks, business men, like in a lot of film. It's impressive how much a place can give to you (speaking of sensations). The things that impressed me more at the UN was a sentence of the guide tour in front of the line in the meeting room, "After this line every state is equal, one state, one vote, no economic, political, cultural difference, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe we are all equal."

Even though it was raining and cold, I really had a cool feeling at the Ground Zero. I really liked being there because being an American I remember that day. It was very weird fro me at the age of 5. My mom was crying but I didn't really think about it then. But this year we saw Ground Zero ten years later, and I really thought about it more when I was there and liked seeing that!

Having not known much about the UN, I didn't really know what to expect. The tour was interesting and I gained a newfound respect for what the UN is doing to improve our world.
